Litters & visits

I will try to let you know within 24 hours of the arrival of puppies and send photos.

After that I will endeavour to get a text and/or photos to you at least once a week and where time permits, twice a week.

Please feel free to text with any queries and I will get back to you when I have time.

Visiting

Guardian families can plan your first visit to see mum and her puppies when the puppies are three (3) weeks old, and not before.

There’s a number of reasons for this;

🐾 Mum will have developed a strong bond with her puppies, and whilst she will be super excited to see her family, she will still want to stay with her puppies.

🐾 By week 3 pups have more immunity from their mothers to fight infections and disease.

🐾 Their eyes are open and they are moving around and a lot more interesting to engage with.

Guidelines

🐾 Guardian families can visit once each week. Any more frequent than that can cause some mums to become confused and distressed and stop feeding and caring for their pups.

🐾 Visits are to be kept to no longer than 45 minutes. I like you to spend time with your own girl before we bring out the puppies.

🐾 You can bring treats or chicken for your girl if you would like to.

Puppies and Children

My usual visiting rules apply and I would ask that you respect and follow these for the safety of the puppies.

🐾 Children must be sitting down at all times, and puppies can be placed into their laps.

🐾 Puppies are not be picked up or carried around by children at any time.

If these rules are not followed the family will be asked to leave for the safety of the puppies.
